Introduction (1/3rd of keynote):
1.) History blockchain design: proof of work forks of Bitcoin’s core client (Litecoin, Dogecoin, PoW flavors aka altcoins).
2.) Ethereum (2015-2020), Ethereum forks and “Ethereum Killers” aka alt-L1s.
3.) Original rollups (2021-current): Optimism, Arbitrum, Polygon
4.) Modular chains and modular rollups (2024+): Fraxchain, Celestia, L3s, Validiums
Rollups and Modular Chain Designs and Specs (2nd/3rd of keynote):
1.) Exploring Fraxchain’s “fractal” and multi-execution environment design (Fraxtal chains).
2.) How to launch Fraxtal chains, how to launch modular rollups (other rollups that are similar: Arbitrum Orbit, OP Superchain, Polygon CDK, zkSync Custom Deploy etc)
3.) Examples and compare contrast major rollup providers and their structure: Starknet Validiums/L3s vs Superchains vs CDK vs Fraxtal chains etc.
Implications of the Modular Rollup Era (2024 and beyond) & Being Ethereum-Aligned (3rd/3rd of keynote):
1.) Diversity in execution environments (more than just EVM) and less opinionated specs
2.) More modular stack and various places for DA (EigenDA, Celestia, FraxtalDA); diverse competition and new mechanism incentives for DA.
3.) Running your own blockchain will be as easy as running your own blog (Wordpress for blockchains).
