I graduated in MSc Computer Engineering and Information Systems in 2017. Started my crypto journey while I was writing my thesis about building 3D tools to explore the deep sea and evaluate the impact of deep sea exploration for rare metals. Learned about NFTs during the CryptoKitties boom and decided to build a project of my own. Ended up launching the first NFT project in Portugal and that drew some media attention, later started going to blockchain-related hackathons and joined a few crypto startups until I landed a job as a developer at Mintbase. Have been with Mintbase for the past 3 years and it's been a fantastic journey -- ended up becoming CTO last month. We have been pushing the boundaries of building new tech like with meta transactions, passkeys and highly scalable and cheap NFT systems, and more recently I'm driving a lot of AI research and building what could be the future of AI autonomous agents.

We give AI true agency by letting agents autonomously create and transact. For this my hypothesis is that AI will make UIs and APIs widely available and in order for AI to realize its potential for value creation it needs to be banked. Once AI is banked we predict in the long term AI will make up the majority of all internet activity. I want to talk about the why banking AI agents is an important thing to do and show practical solutions we can use today.
