Joshua is a programmer, entrepreneur and educator with a passion for impact and decentralization. In 2010 he turned his personal consulting company (Enspiral) into a freelancers cooperative and went on a deep dive in decentralizing money, information and control - aka working as a DAO with web2 tech. He co-founded a programming bootcamp in New Zealand in 2013 and now leads a small consulting team specializing in AI, mentoring junior talent and building decentralized systems.

This session will walk through a practical example of using holochain to validate data for decentralised renewable energy generation which enables small scale energy producers to aggregate their data and participate in on and off chain Renewable Energy Credit markets. It will cover a conceptual overview of the system and outline techniques for building high throughput, low latency systems that can integrate with and complement on chain systems.
