Jess Houlgrave

Jess joined WalletConnect in August 2023 as COO leading GTM, Operations, People, Legal, and Finance. WalletConnect provides the developer toolkits that empower developers to build engaging web3 experiences, anchored in the strength and reach of the WalletConnect Protocol. Previously Jess led Crypto at Checkout.com, a global fintech company with over 1,700 employees and 19 offices around the world. She worked with some of the world’s most innovative companies and established global brands to simplify financial complexities, drive innovation and unlock growth by providing solutions to digital payment problems. Prior to this she was Chief of Staff scaling the business from Series A through Series D. With a multidisciplinary background across finance, private equity and blockchain technology. Jess was also a member of the Bank of England CBDC Engagement Forum and a member of UK Finance New Digital Money Steering Group, Innovate Finance Fintech Strategy Group and Department for International Trade Fintech Group. She has been in the crypto space since 2015. Jess holds an MA in Economics and Management from the University of Oxford and an MA in Art Business from Sotheby's Institute of Art.
